It was so much fun and the store is lovely. It is so spacious, I never felt crowded and there are so many nice people who are willing to help! I was able to pick out a new Jess and a new Josefina as exchanges even though I purchased them through the catalog and what a difference it makes to be able to pick out your own doll. I LOVED it! I didn't take any photos...sorry, but will take some of the loot, especially ones of the bitty outfits I bought for my 18" new Kit! They even let me try the Bitty outfits on one of their 18" display dolls so I would know if it fit before I bought it. I wanted to post some review of what I brought home, so here it goes.

1: Kit's waffle iron- I initially bought this just because it was being discontinued with the thought of re-selling it in the future, but now that I have it home, it is growing on me. The quality is impecible and I only wish that all their products were made with this attention to detail. A beautiful piece.

2: Kit doll- Just darling, it was so fun to go through all the boxes and find that special Kit...I knew her right away when I saw her. She was my easiest doll to pick out. Her hair is so much fun, I think she just may have my favorite hair. I love how easy it is to manage.

3: Kicking back outfit- Looks really cute on Jess, and all the little details are so much fun. I was in a hurry when I picked this up and it ended up having a crack in the bottom of the zipper, but they are sending me a new one, and as far as style goes I love this one!

3: Kit's lunch- The lunch box is so cute! This was not something I planned on loving, but when I saw it I had to have it. My only concern is her cookie in my set and the display set has a bit of a greenish tint, is everyone else's like this or did I get one from a bad batch?

4: Bitty Ruffles and bow's PJ's- I don't have a bitty, but I thought these were so cute so I tried them on an 18" and they are adorable. The pants are more like capris and the slippers are a very snug fit, but I still think they are worth every penny.

5: Bitty Fresh flowers set- sooooo cute! This fits my 18" Kit so well and the hat looks so cute on her. I was so pleased at how well this translated into an 18" outfit.

6: Rectangle glasses- These are cute, but they seem a little fragile, I'm not sure how well they would have held up when I was a little girl.

7: Coconuts LA exclusive- This is cute and I like that it says American Girl Place Los Angeles on it. I did think that the pink thing was a skirt when it's actually more of a cape.

8: Coconuts rink side accesories- Yummy, this is my favorite Coconut accesory to date, I loved it so much that I couldn't wait for it to go on sale I had to have it right away.

Well, I think that about covers it...I will try and get some photos this weekend!

Shanna

Great pics. I really like the bitty clothes on kit. Makes them even more useful being for two dolls now I won't feel bad if I buy any. Kit's lunchbox seems very small how big is it. Is the food a chocking hazard to small children?

The pieces are very small, I think I would use caution around a small child. I suppose the toys do say 8 and up and an 8 year old would be find, but I'm not so sure about a toddler. My violin teachers daughter who is three just stuck a bead up her nose and I was thinking that carrot would have fit pretty well! Can anyone else who has the lunch tell me if their cookie has a greenish tint?

Thanks
Shanna

Wow; I'm not really a fan of Bitty clothes on 18" dolls, generally, but that Ruffles and Bows outfit looks like it was made for an AG! That's neat that they swapped Josefina's body for you, and the Coconut outfit is darling! (The cookie doesn't look appetizing to begin with, but it was the Deperession so maybe Kit was happy to get it. I don't have the lunch kit so I can't tell you whether it's OK or not, sorry.)

Thanks for sharing your pictures! I'm glad you had fun!

I just bought Kit's lunch in NY and it was that green color too - I agree, something's just not right about that! My daughter's comment was something like "ewww, what's THAT!"
